jumble

Just popped over to the church for the jumble sale..l thought" bound to be some old woolen jumpers" ( for felting )there, how wrong can you be!there is a London wide shortage of pure wool jumpers .They are all a mix with acrylic ect ,and charity shops seem only to have Cotton or acrylic? l purchased a bag of old zips and some large rolls of biaz binding,very handy l thought! you all know what these things look like SO lm hoping the missing picture will not hinder the post!

Gone away

The computer and the camera have gone away for a ten day break to sunnier climes ..
on a mission to pastures new to check out a few things,Exciting.. can't say more ...
except l'm stuck with the old prone to crash PC, tempermental ( no not spelt wrongly)
un user friendly..l had a great day out today (more tomorrow)l borrowed my technical helpers camera , technical help might return at the weekend with the come and go laptop, we might even post a post!..but yesterday was a different story..l went to the excel exhibition centre for a mooch about at the stitch and creative craft show. so little to see..so many unrelated to craft stalls , a real disappointment . l went some years ago and it had changed so much..l went for the afternoon/eve as it was closing late at 7.30pm..well at 4.00pm l rang and said Please come and get me!!
lt wouldn't normally be hard to find something interesting to do or see..but as l did another lap of the stalls l felt l was on first name terms with the exhibitors!these things are usually mad packed with people and you can't get near a stall.. business was not good..l had gone hoping to find out more about applying pictures to fabric and other stuff..No joy there! ha huh l spoke to the rep from the embroidery guild she was helpful and said where l could order it from! where, it turned out, l ordered cloth paper scissors from the other week! what a small world..

l don't get this!

Get some room to Breathe...

l don't want my blog to be a diary on how l

am feeling from one day to the next.

There are enough websites totally dedicated to

sharing medical problems and advice.

l wanted a place to go and be and do something

different for a while, when l could.But this last week

l got caught up in how much do you put in about yourself?

so l ended up not writing anything!

as l hadn't been out for a week l thought

l didn't have anything to say...

l've been reading blogs for about a year

now and have so enjoyed reading , discovering

and learning about new things.lt's like reading

the best magazine you could buy ,a mix of craft ,

inspiration,colour and life without all the celeb bits..

so when l got the leaflets this morning l thought yes

breathe ,sigh and go for it!

A friend visited me this week..she gave me a lovely gift..

l am on a very restricted diet and she said as l couldn't have

sweets or chocolate and a lot more besides this was the nearest

to sweets she could bring!! Buttons are so much better for you!

l sat playing with them for ages!OK too much time on my hands!

there are some black ones as well but they didn't photograph well

they came out brown every time!

l have also been playing with fabric and have partly finished a picture!
for quite some time l have been in a fog /mist my brain not functioning ,
along with my hands and other bits,so l had lots of ideas but
not been able to get my head around it ,and make anything .
Everything was out on the table and l would fiddle as l passed
BUT this Tuesday the fog lifted!

PLANES WERE LANDING.. WORK STARTED!

Not ,might l add on the pile of ironing and the other to do stuff!! l had a whole day of doing what l wanted because l could! and as l don't work you might find that to hard to understand! all the time in the world! a lot of working people would love this time at home,but if your not functioning properly the novelty wears off ,Quickly!l love the work found at http://www.hensteethart.blogspot.com/ and http://www.janetbolton.com/ ,applique,stitching and using printed fabric and vintage finds ..so l have been fiddling.
l am waiting for my copy of Cloth paper and scissors ..hens teeth has an article in there,l managed to order a copy without taking out a subscription . l'm hoping for more ideas and tips ..l used Lazertran this week ,but l'm not sure if this is the best you can use,l can print onto any fabric with it...oh for someone who didn't have much to say l sure said a lot..
l cant wait for another clear day!

l don't know what happened there! l published a post without pressing

Iced houses

We are ice bound.The snow has left our roads and streets like a

frozen sea or pond..l love the snow but you can shove the ice, though no one

seems to be doing that at the moment!

for the last few days l have been enjoying the garden and watching from the

windows the children playing in the snow ,the cosy side of snow.But today l had

to venture out ! the slippery side.

l recieved an email with photos of Quebec in the snow..well that is snow and a half and then some. Maybe they get the right type of snow ! you don't hear on the news if they get wrong or right snow!!

l've been singing this song in my head , well sometimes out loud! all day looks like l might get to sing it a lot more this week ,it doesn't look like its going to melt yet!

l'm getting fed up now l keep messing with these words and they are dancing all over the page

and when l go to preview .they are not in the place l put them SO tonight l give up!

We floated out of Basia-Zarzycka and fell next door into,

VV Rouleaux haberdashery heaven!

what to see what to touch first...

WHAT TO BUY!

there were butterfly's,

pincushions a display of bobbles,

in allsizes and colours feathers,

flowers and beady bits.....

and that was only downstairs.

l took a quick look at the feathers ,

trimmings and millinary upstairs

on the ground floor but l couldn't stay all day!

The staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble ,

even 10Cm's x lots!( well l am making flowers and l

wanted a lot of a different colours and patterns ).....

we dragged ourselves out from Rouleaux..

as though we were on a day out ..we were meant to be visting

my Mum and Dad....

.

The thing is they live in the middle of shop heaven BUT there is NO Where to park...so we usually visit in the evening, at the weekend ( when everything is shut) or they come to visit us ... BUT ,lm not up to driving recently, so a tube visit was called for ..and a chance to see the shops open for a change.We spotted a touch of spring here when we got off the bus..

well poor layout! but unaccompanied tonight! things can only get better!
